She has over 15 years’ experience as a CFO for Public and Private Equity Companies, both domestic and International in multiple industries, including Oil & Gas, Real Estate, manufacturing and Insurance. She has an MBA, CPA, CGMA and ACMA, with high energy and emotional Intelligence who partners with the CEO, to define and implement the strategic plan/vision.
Throughout her career she has optimized the back-office function including Finance, Accounting, IT and HR. This has included right-sizing teams, removing unnecessary layers, implementing and optimizing technology from complex ERP systems, Business Intelligence tools and complex multi-industry 10-dimensional consolidation systems (HFM). This has been coupled with strong open communication with operations, with 1 truth of timely operational data, including dashboards, as well as seamless complex Financial Audits, and monthly board reports, as well as managing Investors. She has prided herself on being able to communicate financial data with Operations, without quoting US GAAP, but speaking in industry norms, yet at the same time is current and technically astute in US GAAP/IFRS, to present Financial Statements in the best light of the company. An example of this as CFO of a large Group she dissolved a “Cost of Investment’, then bought the assets back on the balance at Fair Market Value not net book value adding $700 million to the balances sheet. This took 4 months of intensive negotiations with BDO at a national level to get signed off.She has raised over $3billion in debt, with a $650 million line of credit with Goldman Sachs, the most complex in their history. She has led over 50 M & A deals, including a hostile takeover of a public company as well as over 5 successful divestures. It does not stop with the deal as these are then successfully integrated into the group in a timely and accretive manner, managing both the vision of the group and handling the new company in their new world. At the same time, she has implemented and modified company legal structures to optimize Tax strategy and Risk mitigation.
Her sweet spot is in growing companies, either startups, first stage PE investment or mature companies. She grew 1 company from a $200 million domestic family operation into a $2.5 billion multinational through M&A, and organic growth, ensuring capital was allocated most efficiently from a group perspective. This highlights her philosophy P& L,balance sheet management is secondary to tight cashflow management. At all companies she has implemented/enhanced 13 week Rolling cashflow forecast, with an additional 6 monthmonthly forecast. This is done weekly to ensure no “Surprises”
